I had surgery on 12-14-09. Do I need to dilute liquid Tylenol with equal amounts of water in order not to dump?

If it has enough sugar to make you dump, diluting it won't help.  Dumping is due to how much sugar it has.  If it has four grams of sugar, for instance, diluting that with some water doesn't make it have less sugar.  I just took regular Tylenol after my surgery.

I did fine with liquid tylenol after surgery.  After about four days I started the gellcaps.

It made me really queasy and a little dizzy, but I didn't really dump. I drank half a dose, then waited about 10-15 minutes, then drank the rest.

Have your pharmacist order you the sugar free off-brand!

I've never had a problem with dumping on liquid Tylenol.

The one and only time I have dumped is from taking liquid tylenol about a month post surgery for a headache.

You might want to ask your PCP to give you a script for a non-narcotic liquid painkiller.   Dumping from Tylenol isn't worth the risk for me, so I am going to ask my PCP for a script this week.
