HATE TO DO THIS BUT I HAVE A POOP QUESTION

yes,  sitting is better than laying down...standing is sometimes best.  You seriously wont be able to lift too much...picking stuff up off the ground..still pretty impossible. 
I made them let me up and walking the first night...so they would agree to take out the catheder..so then I had to get up and go to the bathroom myself..well mom stayed with me the first night, but the nurses were great and they would have helped....you are hooked up to the iv machine so it has to go with you...
I am seriously sore but pain meds are good.  walking really does help.
