Play around with it because to me it could be a touch more moist as well. Might require one more tablespoon of margerine or something...

What size pan did you use?  i amde a protein brownie recipe once that I got from a low carb cook book and they did not look like these!!  They were flat and had a weird grainy texture... these look nummy!!  I will try these!

Ummm...good question. I used a casserole dish actually so it was fairly small. These are not grainy...just a touch dry. Next batch I am going to add some NSA applesauce to the mix and see how that goes. The problem is the whole thing cooks up so fast (literally it starts to form a cake texture before you even introduce it to any heat) that I'm afraid adding more moisture to the inside will cause it to overcook on the outside while not cooking enough on the inside. The turning the oven off trick seems to work well though.

Hi Nik... I tried the recipe, but they came out really really dry... Any suggestions?  I was thinking of adding more margerine/butter/oil?  But I'm new to the world of cooking with protein powder and was hoping for some words of wisdom!!!

ETA:  just read posts above!  I'm gonna add applesauce next time and see how that works.

Play around with it. Mine didn't come out really really dry, but just a touch dry. Put them in the fridge with some plastic wrap over them. Usually that causes condensation which actually draws moisture out that then goes back down into the food when it is moved. Just so that batch isn't a total wash.

Also what margerine did you use? I use Blue Bonnet Light not only cuz it's cheap but because it tends to yield nice results, so your mileage may vary if you use different ingredients. But play with it. My first batch was not dry at all so I'm not even sure what I did differently this time where they were slightly dry.

They got the seal of approval from le petite diva, my 5 y/o stepson (her little brother) AND their paternal grandma. Now grandma I wasn't too impressed with liking them...the stepson...I knew they hadda be good cuz 5 year olds generally have little regard to your feeling when critiquing food!

As a side note, I wrapped them and put them in the fridge and 2 things happened over the course of the week. #1 - they became less dry and #2 - they became "fudgier."

Perhaps I'll demo them on tape if I ever get round to...you know...feeling human again...
