Baskin Robbins Sugar Free Ice Cream - BIG Mistake

I was in Pigeon Forge with friends, and they wanted to stop by BR for some ice cream.  I asked them to bring me something sugar free.  They brought out a cone with really, really delicious caramel, almond something or another in a cone.  I knew it couldn't be that good for me, but I had been eating very little because it was just hard to find stuff out at this car festival.

About 30 minutes later, all hell broke loose.  I got very wonky feeling, and spent the next hour on the toilet.  I would avoice that stuff, if I were you.

Sounds like you hit the " BRight Choices" Butter Almond Crunch-- which is still 140 calories for a small scoop and 7g of fat. Couple that with some sugar alcohols, a ridiculously high carb count, and it explains why you felt kinda lousy.

But not everyone would-- just those *****act poorly to those things. I just find caramelly stuff cloyingly sweet. Bleahh.

I would say lactose intolerance, myself. I could be wrong but I can't eat that stuff either and I don't have a problem with sugar alcohols...it's the milk for me.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Me too, Dawn.  It's so weird, I can eat yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, no problems.  But I step FAR away from milk or ice cream, not worth being sick over.  Sorry you had to go through this, Robert.  It stinks, I know...BTDT.  Get some rest and feel better!

i tried a small amount (like 1/2 of a kiddie cup) of TCBY no sugar added frozen yogurt last week.  i was expecting a bad scene afterwards (like the one your described) but i felt fine.
wish i could find a frozen low carb yogurt...
