Bariatric Advantage bought the rights to produce Citracal Creamy Bites last year. I just got an email from them announcing their new product!!!!

They are called "Chewy Bites". They are initially releasing them in chocolate, follwed by my favorite creamy lemon!!

Sounds YUMMY. The only problem for me is that its 9.99 for 60 and they are 250mg each. I would need to take 8 a day for my 2000 MG that my surgeon requires and that means it would be 9.99 every 7.5 days. This makes these about 40 bux a month. OUCH...too expensive for me :)
Great idea though!

I balked at the near $13.00 to ship. I thought about how they were only 250 gms and thought they would be good for supplemental on the run since I can't stand the lozenges and I'm using calcium crystals to get it down.

And not only are they pricey, that'd be 120 calories a day. I'm thinking, "Not!" Maybe I will do one a day as a treat, dunno.

I got that email too and was so excited, until I saw they were only 250mg. Every day I choke down 4 citrical petites and walk around feeling sick all day long from it, but I'd have to choke down even more of those, AND hope the sugar alcohols didn't make me even sicker than the pills do. Anybody heard of liquid calcium citrate??? *sigh*

No need to choke down citrical petites. You can disolve them in water for 15 minutes and drink the water. The white stuff stays on the bottom but you don't drink that part. I've been doing it this way and my numbers were excellent. It's cheap and effective.

Although they look and sound good I don't think I want to use so many calories on a vitamin supplement. I prefer to have my calories as food.
