IDS New-Whey Liquid Protein Bullets
yeah this a G rated forum so I'll leave it at that
From what I've read they don't have the right type of protien in them either
maybe try mixing them with water or juice?
just a suggestion... I have that whole "Don't throw food away" stigma
I used them early on, granted I have the sleeve and not RNY but I did use them so can perhaps offer some suggestions of how to get them down.
I did not like using them right out of the tube, felt like warm jello and not that was just not right.
I found that if I chilled them and poured them in with my water (I used the half liter water bottles) that they flavored the water and I could not really "taste" them per se. Other folks have mixed them in with their crystal lite and that worked for them as well.
My favorite flavor was the blue raspberry.
There supposed to be the wrong type of protein. I wasn't able to tolerate the shakes in the beginning, so my NUT had me try them. I mixed one with 32 oz of water and sipped on it during the day and kept adding ice. I thought the orange was the worst, the grape and fruit punch were what I used the most.
Tell me more about the bad protein. I have not heard about that. I am relying on these to make sure I get in all my protein but if it is bad protein, well, I need to find something else.
Some people swear by them. A lot of our successful longer termers, though, give them a nutritional thumbs down. Do some searches and you'll find the past threads on them.
Here is such a funny story about theses.......I was one week out from surgery and I started to buy a few things to get ready for WLS the next week. I ordered New-Whey liquid protein. It comes in individual containers and has 42 grams of protein per serving. On the website, the container looked like a small test tube size container and I thought it would be perfect for traveling. I travel on a plane a lot for work and I thought the protein shot would be small so I can put a couple in my clear quart size travel bag to take on the plane (I typically do not check luggage) so I can always get my quota of protein even when away from home.
