Isn't it amazing how effective aversive conditioning is?  I certainly hope I never go through half a bag of crunchies again, but clearly  yummy crackers and other "slider" foods are a problem for me.  I would have easily eaten my way through any other surgery!

150-160 bpm is some scary ****e!

ugh....dumping....first I kick myself in the A$$ for eating something I know might send me over the edge!!!!  LOL

Then I break out into a sweat, my blood sugars drop, I sometimes pass out, I foam at the mouth, I scare all the peeps around me..LOL  I moan, groan, and cuss like a sailor, I sit on the potty for what seems like a lifetime...then I crawl into bed with a cold washcloth and sleep for about 1-2 hours...deep dark sleep...I then awake to the shakes, more sweat, and craving the hell out of protein!!!

I dump on sugar and carbs....so my early days were some crazy times, I now know my limits and I just stay away from a lot of the trigger foods...LOL

Sorry you dumped it is soooo not fun, it can be very scary....I know on two dumping episodes I was taken to the hospital...because of low BP & BS...scary!!

Get to feeling better soon

Wow, I haven't experienced dumping and from your description I don't want to. I guess I'm lucky, although I'm pretty careful that I don't eat anything that is likely to cause it but there's always a chance I'll make a mistake without realising.

I'm not familiar with the product that you were eating, it sounds savoury so why did it cause dumping? Is there hidden sugar in it?

The food that I overate is a carbohydrate-rich "slider" food -- that is, once chewed up thoroughly, it turns into a slurry of simpler carbs that just slides through my pouch and straight into my intestine, where it is rapidly absorbed into my bloodstream -- causing the symptoms described.

These are a local company's version of "Cheetos," which I have purchased in France -- long story -- so I know they have them where you live.

Products can be savory, but still high in simple carbs.  Frankly, almost anything becomes "high in carbs" if you eat half a bag of it, as I did!
