Rocket Grill evaluation
I noted that I had ordere the Rocket Grill from QVC 1-2 weeks ago. It came and I've used it several times, as well as my granddaughter. The only thing I did not like about it was the "cheesy ad stickers" that came on the unit and these were promptly removed. The unit has a "cooking guide wheel" for different foods and how well done you prefer them, that stores in a compartment in the bottom of the unit. The trial test was grilled cheese sandwich. Made on 7 grain breads, 2 pieces of Americal sliced cheese. Turn on unit, and allow to warm up for 3-4 minutes. Sandwich was not coated in any butter or margerine. Just two pieces of bread with two pieces of cheese in the middle, slide it into the parchement cooking bag. Turn on Rocket Grill for 3 minutes, and it comes out great. Grilled marks, cooked cheese well too. I've also tried it with some spiral sliced ham leftovers with the cheese and that works well at 3 minutes too.
A few minutes ago I just returned from Smart & Final, where I had purchased some flash frozen Tyson chicken thigh filets (no bones). I set the Rocket Grill switch from fresh to frozen foods, and turned on for 4 minutes. I took out one of the frozen Tyson chicken thighs and placed it into bag. Placed the bag into the unit, set for 9 minutes and walked away. Nine ninutes later the bell on the R.G. rang, and I opened it up and pulled out the bag. Fats and oils had drained down into the segmented bag, thus removing fats from chicken thigh. The meat was still very moist, had some grill markings, and tasted so good. My dogs were going nuts over the aroma in the kitchen. So it works as demo'd on TV--fats drain off of meats easily, and just discard the bag--no cleanup needed. Two thumbs up. DAVE

My Mom in Law is a QVC addict. She got one of these last week. She says she loves it. She was going to buy me one but I told her what I told everyone this past Christmas.
"Unless I ask for any kitchen stuff specifically, dont buy it for me or I will return it, I simply do not have the room and despise cluttered counters"

I feel your pain in regard to counter space. I'm going to get a free standing cabinet to place some of these addtional kitchen "gadgets" inside. But the Rocket Grill will remain on top, as it's something I'll used several times a week. DAVE

I definitely have some undiagnosed OCD issues! lol One is clutter.
I have 3 big boxes of kitchen stuff on the garage shelf just sitting there unused because I refuse to clutter the kitchen. Some of it could be really useful too!
It drives my mom nuts and she said she doesn't know why I am this way lol

Thast sounds like a gadget I would like to have and use. Are the bags easy to get and how expensive are they?

QVC may have the bags now--they said they'd have them shortly when I got my Rocket Grill. www.sunbeam.com had the Rocket Grill bags now. The cheapest way is have 36 ordered on autoshipment every 90 days for about $13.50. Single orders, non autoship, are close to $15 for 36 bags. QVC may have them cheaper. Hint: I use the bags more than one time for sandwiches. But for cooking foods that drain off grease, then just use the bags once and dispose of them. You can grill veggies in this grill too. The Rocket Grill I got from QVC came with 48 bags, at $26.88 plus shipping. I think the QVC price today is just under $30, but still cheaper than the $39.95 from Sunbeam. DAVE
