End of my rope.
Shari, in truth, you don't know me from Adam, but if I lived closer, I would be there to try to help you feel better. And give you a hug. Your post made me cry, because although I'm not going through the exact same things, I really do know of the frustrations you are experiencing.
Patience and resolve do wear thin. But they also 'grow fat' from the support of caring friends. Knowing there are far greater challenges than mine, and I am thankful for what I have can only get you so far, so don't beat yourself up with that one. The only thing that truly helps me get through these times is A) knowing that this too will pass, B) repeating to myself, "Baby steps. One day at a time." and C) venting to friends *****ally care.
I'm with Lexi on the eye thing. Based on what you've told us, I'd seriously look into an attorney to possibly pursue a malpractice suit against that plastic surgeon.
I know you want to build your body up for the PS to come, but one day at a time. Put what you can on the back burner. Deal with what has to be dealt with right now, which I would say is this GI trouble you're experiencing. Call your PCP or go to the ER. If you can't save all the sick days you'd like, so be it. "The best laid plans of mice and men. . . " and all that.
Even strong people have less than strong days. Accept the fact that you are not super human, you just play one most days. Be gentle with yourself, today, and remember, "One day at a time."

Our Lady of the Holy Rollers
That's not a tiara. I just bedazzle my horns.
Shari, you are one of the first people that I talked to on this board. You comforted me when I was scared and nervous. So first let me just say, you are my inspiration. You help everyone no matter what! So first...I have to say I agree with the others, get the bug checked out. Second, consult another PS about your eye, if what is going on shouldn't have happened then go see a lawyer, you deserve to the best of care! Third, I didn't know you could have PS without anesthetic, I am assuming the gave you something, but you have got to be the bravest person I have ever seen!
Please take care of yourself, if you need anything just let me know. If you want someone to talk to feel free to PM me and I will give you my number!

Mistymystique
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.
