I NEED HELP
Think of it as medicine. You've got to ge tthe proteins in to heal and be healthy.
Try making some of the eggface recipes. I liked the protein puddings
1 box sf instant pudding, 2 cups milk, 2 servings protein powder. Mix up protein flavors to match pudding flavors. Stir together. Divide into 2 bowls. 1 bowl = 1 protein shake
My favs were pistachio pudding w/ vanilla protein powder, cheesecake pudding w/ vanilla protein.

You may need to try several more different types of protein before you can find one that you tolerate. It took me a long time to find one and I had to settle on a soy protein powder. I know my nut wanted me to do whey, but said the soy is ok if it is the only one I can stomach. It will get better the farther out you get. Good Luck!

So did I.. I had no problem with the vanilla slim fast high protein drinks.
I had the same problem... any kind of protein shake made me violently ill. So my dietician told me to drink galsses of milk throughout the day. I would occasionally mix mine with the international coffees sugar free decafinated french vanilla powder... and mix it with milk and ice... and tada I have and iced coffee. It is yummy... I still have it occasionally when I have enough calories even though I get in enough protein now... Good luck!
I agree, protein anything tastes so bad. I have tried almost 24 different samples since my surgery and so far none are great. One that wasn't half bad was Oh Yeah! chocolate rtd bottle. My drs list also has carnation instant breakfast mixed with dry ff milk. I sometimes freeze banana slices and blend them in, you don't really taste it but it makes it a bit thicker. Another that I don't mind is the Met-RX vanilla. Makes a thick shake, pudding or frozen treat. When I really can't take the smell of these I have a chocolate high protein boost.

It took me over a month and experimenting with over 4 dozen different flavors/brands of protein before I found a powder that I liked and could tolerate. The stuff I tried right after surgery that I hated, ended up working for me later on ... and vice versa.
So my suggestion is to just keep trying. Order samples and try as many different kinds of protein powder as you can. I started with the 21-flavor pack from www.enjoyhealth.com. I have a list on my profile of online and local resources to find samples.
Also remember that you can drastically change the flavor of protein based on what you mix it with. A single scoop of vanilla protein powder can be made dozens of different ways -- mixed with water or milk or soy milk or flavored soy milk or crystal light or light juice or even sugar free chai mix or coffee or tea. It can be made with room temperature liquid or color or hot. You can add stuff to it like SF coffee syrups, SF flavored creamers, spices (cinnamon or chia spice) or even stuff like frozen fruit, bananas, canned pumpkin. The sky is the limit on recipes ... and that's just for vanilla. Imagine the possibilities for chocolate! :-)
Keep trying. You'll find something that works eventually.
