Hey there Cake!

My aunt and uncle are in from New York this weekend, so we'll be doing the BIG family Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow instead of next Thursday.  So we'll see how my mother plans to squish 29 people into her house for the meal tomorrow. I'll be cooking tonight and tomorrow morning and "pigging out" tomorrow evening.

Have a great holiday with your family too!

Pam

Oh hell - I don't really understand anything that doesn't start with a 2 so I can't help you there. Too many years in the womens department I guess.

One thing I can't help but wonder is if our organs are enlarged from being obese for so long. Like our skin stretches - I would imagine our organs do too? I don't know so don't quote me. But it makes sense that everything isn't what it would appear it should be - including the stuff we can't see.

Sizes...grrrrrrrr!!  I am 5'6 and weigh anywhere from 155 to 160 and I can wear anything from a 10 to a 14.  Makes me crazy.  I can tell you one thing for certain.  My excess skin from the belly button to the nether regions makes a huge impact on what size I can and cannot wear.  For example...a skirt I'm pretty much a 10/12.  Pants can range from 10 to 14 depending on how they are made.  So I think it has as much to do with the "designer" as it does left overs from losing so much weight.

It doesn't help that I have the thighs and butt of someone that would wear a size 6, so I still have that ridiculous look about me.   You know, the apple walking around on toothpicks.  But hey, I'll take that problem and be happy with it!

RIGHT ON! I have to wear a 10 in a skirt-- but 14s in pants...it's confusing!

I'm 5'4 and, if i remember correctly, at 160 i was about a 12, maybe a 10 (that was during my rapid weight loss period so my sizes changed like every few weeks:). i don't know what my waist was. sounds like you are doing amazing with regard to your weight loss and a larger size may be based on specific manufacturer or just the body composition (we all distribute our weight in different places)

I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY SIZES ALSO.  MY "APRON BELLY" MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR ME TO PUT PANTS ON THAT WOULD FIT IF IT COULD GO UP AND OVER THE BELLY.  IF I GET THE PAIR THAT GOES OVER THE HANGING BELLY, THEN THE PANTS DROOPS FROM MY BOTTOM AND CROTCH.  SHEESH.  IT IS HARD TO FIND SOMETHING THAT FITS ALL OVER.

I find the same thing.  I see ppl on here who weigh the same as me or more and they are in much smaller sizes.  I weigh 152pds and am 5'5" (same height as you).  I am in size 12 usually, sometimes a 14.  I carry most of my weight in my belly.  My legs are actually skinny (according to my husband).  I didn't lose much from by boobs (kinda wish I would cause I never seem to find a comfortable bra at this size).  I went shopping with my daughter (5'10" and 140 pounds) and when she tries on jeans they are tight in the legs and butt and loose in the waist.  I am the opposite, tight in the waist and loose in legs and butt. I have come to accept that I will always be biggest in my belly.  Can't afford plastic surgery so I will learn to live with this.  Life is so much better now.  I can't complain.

Sizes are so overrated. It doesn't make any sense to me. I'm still 183 (5'6) and in a 12. My mama called me a liar and wanted to see the tags. lol. I'm personally happy with that. My goal was to hit 155 or a size 10. I'm gonna hit 10 before I lose 28 lbs. But I could be wrong. People are so different.
