How the hell is it I am still a size 14?

Not a complaint so much as pondering the craziness.

I am 5'5". I weigh 160 pounds. I have a 34 inch waist.

Size 14? Izzat right?

Isn't crazy??

I put on 10 lbs and I am still the same size of 00...WTF? Sometimes I can wear a 0 but hubby says they sag on my butt. So where am I putting on weight if my pants aren't getting bigger ~ it's certainly not in the boobies either!!! URGHHHHH!!

not sure....maybe you carry extra skin in the belly area that makes you have a larger size??

OH--I remember in high school when I weighed 160 I wore a 14 so it sounds about right...

I think its just proportions lady! :( When I got down to 208 I was wearing a 14W...now Im in a regular 14 at 186 and about 10 more pds til Im in a 12. Im also 5'8".

I don't know how the sizing thing works. I work plus sizes for so long that I need to learn the smaller sizes, I guess.

Here's a size chart from Overstock that looks pretty informative. It looks like they say a size 34 waist should be wearing 16-18. http://www.overstock.com/sizing.html

This site says 34" waist is solidly in an 18W. http://www.wmsclothing.com/sizing.html

So how the heck can you fit into a 14?? What's your secret? :-)
