I take colace every day and MOM when I need to, which is only about once a week.  The Walmart generic version of MOM tastes better than the real thing, but I'm not sure if it's sugar free or not.  If there is sugar in it, it's never bothered me.

I have problems as well... I take Miralax mixed in with LIGHT OJ (only about 3/4 c. 8-10g sugar) every other night... 2 Fibercon every day I mix some Fiber One or AllBran in with my Breyer's Light yogurt (brand of yogurt I found with least amount of sugar) for a snack, I get the Multi-grain All Bran crackers...I eat about 10 of them...with some LF cream cheese and SF jam... I also just try to get plenty of fruits and veggies...it seems to be working And as much fluids as you can stand....I am terrible with my fluid intake...its a work in progress I guess...

I'm in LOVE with the fiberone yogurt from yoplait $2.50 for 6- 4 oz cups @ my local wal-mart. i also take a stool softener capsule every other day-non stimulant- docusate sodium. the stool softener is less than $5 for 120 caps wal-mart brand, just make sure you get the non-stimulant. stimulant kinds can be habit forming & cause MAJOR gas.
LIFE IS GOOD!!! Good luck to everyone! EVERY WOW moment is a success!

The brand "Peri-Colace" combines docusate sodium (Colace) with a stimulant laxative, namely senna extract.  There are many drug-store generics that are equivalent.  They generally are labelled as "stool softener plus laxative". If you look for "stool softener" with only a single active ingredient (namely, docusate), you should be all set.  Good luck! /Steve
