for those who had RNY.. how much time off from work?

I had surgery on a Tuesday, and was back at work fourteen days later. Woulda gone back on Thursday of the prior week if I didn't have some minor complications. 

I hap Lap RNY took off 4 days tues - friday returned monday

Wow.  Seeing all of the different responses just goes to show that there really is no consensus on a lot of this stuff.  I also have a desk job.  My surg (lap) was on a Monday morning, I was released that Wednesday afternoon and back to work the following Monday.  There was some discomfort, but nothing that made me reach for the pain meds.  I moved kinda slowly, but got over that quickly.  Overall, I know my experience was best case scenario, but it went really well.
