Jeesh this is scary - anyone know about HIDA scans??
oh, and laying on the table may be a pain, but you might ask if they use an injector to inject the cholecystokinin over time or if they hand inject. if they hand inject, you will feel the worst nausea you have ever experience in your lifetime for about 3-5 minutes. if they use a timed injector, it won't go in as fast and won't feel the nausea. and the iv stick pinches. other than that, you're good.
Pain wise, usually right upper quadrant pain like you are describing is your GB. even if you get pain from vitamins, your GB is still contracting to push bile into your intestine to digest your vitamins. usually with an ulcer you feel better when you eat bc the food takes up some of the acid and diverts it from going to the ulcer. plus if an ulcer your pain would be more on the left side. hope this helps! you'll do great!!
