I think you are on a good road. Work with your surgeon. Get some good and postive friends. Seek counseling which will help prepare for your mind this next phase in your life.
I go for my surgical consult tomorrow. i need a hip replacement and the surgeon wants me to lose 100 lbs for my safety before the surgery. I'm more nervous and afraid this time around. I lost 145 lbs from the sleeve and gained back about 50 lbs. I never made my goal weight loss of 200 lbs. Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

Okay, I am about six weeks out before my revision when eveything needed will be completed. My surgeon is great so far. More personable then my last doc.
I have more support this time. No scare tactics, like "you never be able to drink out of a straw."
Nothing is guaranteed not even the next moment. I am going live my life and enjoy each day as health as possible.
Just counting down to this next step in my healthiest journey towards the best me. Love or hate me? I just doing me. Be brave and do you!
I will be back in a week.
Thank you! I've been searching fb groups, googling potential rny drawbacks. I've talked to my surgeon several times and he's adamant that revising is the only way to get rid of the reflux. I was also his first sleeve and he's mentioned how it's not the smallest or the prettiest so I don't know if there's something technical he sees that he's not telling me. Although I was 4 yrs post op when it started. I've now had all the tests he wants and both the reflux and hernia have been proven. Not sure the time limit on the test results (if there is one for insurance purposes) but feeling the pressure to make a decision. I'll keep reading and asking questions!

Talk, talk and talk again with your doctor. Ask.him about his experience with revision. Look at all the information you can. Then do what is best for your life. Your body your way! As I type this it's so clear. I am going to fight for my revision.
Hi Kim,
I'm just starting out on my "revision journey" and am curious how you are doing now? How much have you lost, any major issues?
Thanks so much!
Hi Thickemz27 - I'm new to the page and am wondering how you are doing now after your bypass revision?
Thanks
