I would be very interested to learn about your experience. I had my lap band implanted in 2010. It was a very effective tool for a 1/2 dozen years. Then it slipped. I couldn't keep food down. It was repositioned in 2017 and never did me a bit of good after that. I had it removed in 2020. It was found unbuckled. (No wonder it didn't work!) I had an endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty in 2021. I am having a very different experience. I feel no sense of restriction. I am struggling more to take off weight than I remember with the band.
thank you, me too

Hi all,
I will be having a BPD/DS REVERSAL due to severe malabsorption in a few weeks. My DS is too severe, I have a 50 cm common limb Infusions, injections, 45+ pills- supplements/day, osteoporosis and scoliosis caused post DS. I have had to add more and more supplements-the malabsorption is too severe.

I know it's years out but any updates?
Hi! I am in the same boat! What did you end up finding out? I am talking to my doc on March 1st.
Oh man that's so frustrating! I think the feeling is different between the surgeries. So with the sleeve we feel super super full and then with the bypass you might not get that same exact feeling due to the way your "new" stomach is. From what I understand with out the valve on the bottom of the stomach you don't achieve the same stop full feeling if that makes sense.
