Going CRAZY...UPDATE

RE: Going CRAZY...this is consuming me!!! I just got back from my barium swallow. OMG! It was so nasty! Anyway, the radiologist said that my stomach was emptying way too fast - barium went straight through - he said "it" was supposed to be a lot smaller - not sure what exactly he was referring to when he said "it" - stoma or pouch. So, this is good, right? Something is not working - it is not all my fault for gaining weight. Endoscopy is Thursday. Can't wait to get that over with! Just wanted to update. Tabatha

Tabatha, Endoscopy is not bad. They put you to sleep, so you don't remember it. Keep us updated. My stoma is size 18mm and my food goes straight through also. I am looking for a new surgeon. Dr. Gleysteen did my original in 1995 and he only sees pt. on fridays and only does one surgery a week. Good luck on Thursday. cindy
