Blue Cross of CA for out-of-state revision

Anyone dealt with going out of state for a revision after BCC's new "Centers of Expertise" clause? I don't know that any doctors in CA do stoma/intestine repair & distal RNY revision, but I know that my out-of-state does (and is an expert). BCC just denied me based on their new COE policy. I have the small group PPO Blue Card, so subscribers are SUPPOSED to be able to go to any doctor in the network. I'll be fighting it. Any advice welcome. Thank you.

Not with out of state, but with the the CoE crap. I've spoken to an attorney named Larry Slade who has apparently already sued them and won on other wls issues. It doesn't cost anything to ask...I think you can find him in area coded 818. Have you considered Keshishian? He doe the DS. I went last week and was very pleasantly surprised by the entire episode.
