Am I in the right place?

Hey all, I have a lap band but am having lots of complications that may port rejection. My surgeon brought up a lap bypass.....anyone with any experient in this area? I appreciate all input, thanks! AnnMarie Lap band 11/15/04 -69

AnnMarie, I'm considering having my lapband revised to RNY. I meet with my doctor next week to discuss my options. I have a motility disorder that makes it difficult for me to swallow, and I suffer from terrible reflux. I would suggest that you get a few second opinions before you resort to a gastric bypass. I talked to three bariatric surgeons before I decided that the band may cause more serious problems in the future for me. Good luck with whatever you decide. Kim
