SLD Revisions ... good results?

I'm having a staple line disruption revision January 31st. I'm curious if others have had a revision from an SLD and what the results have been. I understand my risks are greater but I just can't sit back and not do it. I sure wish I'd been transected the first time! DeeDee

DeeDee, I've not had revision surgery as yet but plan on having it late february. Where do you live and where are you having your surgery done?

Good luck getting your revision.. I need one for the same reason, my insurance company denied me for policy exclusion but I continiue in the battle to get it covered somehow. I wish you luck. I have read some older posts from people who have had it and emailed them they say they had great success. So YEAH.... Good luck Tina

Dee Dee, I was transected and still developed a gastric fistula, sometimes it just happens, I had a revision to correct fistula on 12/13/04 & have lost over 20 pounds since. I had been at stand still since Aug so I am thrilled. Good luck Renee
