**Appeal Letter Needed**

Hello - I am looking for an effective appeal letter for the bypass. Was just denied a revision (from VBG) by my insurance company which is Horizon PPO. They stated that it was not a medical necessity. I have gained more than half my weight back from WLS 3 years ago and my BMI is 37. My blood pressure is anywhere from 90 to 100 over 145-170, depending on the day! Can anyone help?? Many thanks - Dori in NJ

I hope some one comes along with a "letter" to help you out... I just wanted to let you know that you were not the LONE RANGER.. I had VBG in 1998.. I have gained all of my weight back except about 20 pounds.. I have Aetna and my surgeon told me yesterday that as long as my staple line was breeched, or the pouch was damaged.. Aetna would more than likely cover it as a "repair" surgery.. so hopefully I will be able to get the RNY.. which is what I should have got to begin with.... Best Wishes... Casey
