Sleeve to Rny

I just wanted to start by saying that i had a profile on OH years ago when i first started my journey,I basically lived on here and was on ever forum possible trying to learn as much as i can and do as much research as possible. I originally had surgery 3/13/12 and i had a sleeve.The day of my surgery i was 455.3 pounds fast forward to 2020 and the lowest weight that ive gotten down too was 306. I'm currently weigh 319 and i'm ok with that although i never did hit my goal of 230 i'm very proud of all the progress that I've made...So you might wonder what brings me back to OH,Well i'm scheduled to have Revision of sleeve to bypass on 2/12/20 because of GERD with no relief from medication. Initial i wasn't sure if i wanted too but i can't deal with this flare up from the gerd,I'm nervous and excited to be on the loser bench again.My surgeon already told that i wont lose the same amount of weight that i initial did and i'm okay with that ,Just as long as this GERD goes away and i get under 300 pounds i'll be happy. Overall I've had a textbook surgery and recovery and i pray for the same thing this time around. So now i'm just counting down the days until my surgery day which is right around the corner.

I posted to you in another thread, but I had a revision due to GERD in July of last year and it went really well, I've had zero reflux trouble plus I've lost most of my regain. Happy to answer any questions if you need :)

Good Morning,I think I replied to you on there as well but i'm going to reply to you here as well.....My surgeon told me about that 20 % chance that I would develop it but after almost 8 years I thought that I was fine until the last couple of months that it got really bad and the medication wasn't helping. So my big day is coming up on 2/12/20

Wow, this is basically my SAME story! I got approved for revision today for the same issues with GERD. I started over 525lbs, had sleeve on 7/6/15. Got down to 275 in 2018. Since then diagnosed with heart disease, was placed on meds whi*****reased me to 316lbs as of today. I'm awaiting my surgery date but have mixed emotions.

Yea in definitely having mixed emotions as well bit I'm happy to get the relief that my surgeon said it's going to provide....Good luck with your up coming surgery.

How did your revision go? I just got my date, it will be March 9th!!

Hey nikki, I sent you a friend request hope you don't mind.... I had my revision on 2/12/20 the day of surgery I was 317.3 ,Everything went well but when my surgeon came to see me the following morning he told me that he had to repair a hiatal hernia and my surgery ended taking longer than expected....I'm now 6 days post op and feeling pretty good .

Well, I'm glad you are doing well!! I weighed in today at 315, I'm hoping I'll be able to drop a little more weight. I need to have one replacements and can't have them done until I lose more. I'm excited for some relief of my GERD!!

Yea I'm doing pretty well just incision pain,I'm going to finally weigh myself tomorrow as that will be my official first week post op....Like you this revision was mainly to get rid of the GERD and since surgery I've not any symptoms.

Hi, I'm in the same boat as everyone on this thread. Reading up and trying to get as much info as possible. My surgery got scheduled today for March 10th!
