lap band to RNY revision

Hi Friends!

3 days ago I had my lap-band removed and RNY done. I just want to give warning that the process of removing the lap band and port is complicated! I have two large incision where they were and they had to cut through muscle to get to them. Now, the pain of that spot FAR outweights the minor discomfort of the RNY incisions. Just wanted anyone considering this revision to be aware that its a bit more complicated than just an RNY.

Thanks for the information. I will be going through with this surgery too. I was told it would be another incision to remove the port along with the laproscopic sites for RNY.

How are you feeling though? In general...able to keep down fluids? just curious
