Hello,

I revised from a failed RNY to DS 5 years ago December. While I had surgical complications and a slow recovery I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Surgeon: Dr Ara Keshishian

High Weight: 300 RNY low weight: 175 Gained back to 240 DS Surgery weight 240 Low weight 117 Current weight 130 (maintaining for 3 years)

Best,

Whit

you had the BEST surgeon!!!!

If you have a specific question for me, PM me or I will not see it, as I don't check responses on the forums and don't have anything forwarded to my email.

How did your Rny fail?

It is a substandard surgery. My stoma stretched out, I developed Dumping Syndrome and never did loose all of my excess weight.

Most of the people in this forum are RNY patients seeking a revision.

Next month will be my three year anniversary from RnY to DS, also with Keshishian. He also did my brachioplasty and my breast lift. I am one happy lady! :)
