I will be 7 years post op in march and I want to have a revision...I have regained about 160 lbs...I live in Weatwrn Kentucky and wonder what everybody's thoughts are in this...have any of you had it and do you know any doctors in my area who do it and accept Medicare? I had my first surgery in Nashville at baptist but. One of their surgeons do revisions and the only other surgeon there who does doesn't accept Medicare...I've thought about Dr. William Steely in Clarksville Tn or one in Louisville or Lexington would be ok...I'd just prefer Nashville because it's closer.

Have you checked in Dr. Boyce in Knoxville? I'm not sure if they accept medicare, you would need to call. He is one of the few surgeons in the country who do a revision from rny to ds. the revision to a ds is the only type of surgery that can help someone who's had a rny. you have to take many more vitamins than the rny but the results are stronger and more lasting.

I'm in the middle of waiting to get approved for the surgery.

Good luck,

Dawn
