So i had revision surgery on September 13th. I'm physically in pain. Just feel unwell. My hip, back and sciatica are killing me to the point im using my cane that i haven't used in years.
Has anyone experienced this?

I'm so sorry you are having this pain. I don't believe there is any connection between the surgery and sciatic pain, but it never hurts to check with your physician to be sure.
I know you have been having a really hard time since your revision and you don't need this too. I hope you can get some relief soon. I'm always here if you want to PM or send a message. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thanks hun. I saw my Dr and Chiropractor they both think the drastic weight loss and the fact that its not even has caused the sciatic nerve to act up.
I am going to see my surgeon next week. I am just taking it easy. I feel as though God may be telling me to slow down and relax. So that's what I'm doing now.
Thanks for keeping me in your prayers. I hope you are doing well.
I will PM you soon....

As I was losing weight I had to see my chiropractor quite often. My center of gravity was changing and that caused a lot of misalignment. Depends what is causing the sciatica pain - it can be spine or misalignment of SI joints - hips issue, exercise can help or make it worse. When my back is off - walking (making sure my shoes are very good) makes it better. But when my hips are misaligned - twisted- walking or some other exercise can make the pain much worse.
Because I can't use NSAIDs - I am only using Tylenol, or in worst case - narcotics (but I had to be really hurting). But I also exercise and streach - do special exercise for hip alignment, and use Novocain patches. That really helps. Novocain patches are available in a store - or little stronger by prescription.
Some people use heat - but for me heat feels good right as I use it- but it causes worse inflammation long term- so after 10 min feeling better - the pain gets much worse. For me - using ice pack for 20 min (wrapped in some thin towel or flannel to prevent freezing burns) works much better.
Try to see if you can get physical therapy for the pain. Special exercise can really make a difference. Having someone showing you how to do it properly is important.

Thank you so much. I will look into the patches. I've been going to physiotherapy and doing my exercises. I am so off balanced it is crazy.....

I had terrible sciatica with my pregnancies and what helped cure it was acupuncture. Not just help it but totally eliminated it.
The last time I had it I was in terrible pain, could barely walk and I had acupuncture and as the needle was going in I felt something like an electrical jolt, very painful and the when it was done the pain was completely gone.
This happened with my previous pregnancies as well.
If you haven't tried acupuncture you might give it a try.
I hope this helps you.

I've tried acupuncture with and without the electrodes. Cupping. Massage. Nerve medication and nothing is helping this time.
So i am going back to basics ice and heat.....
Thanks for your advice....
