I'm now on the soft food phase. I'm curious what worked most for everyone. I have made it through yogurt and mashed potatoes. I'm gonna try refried beans, hummus (never had), tuna, and was told flaky mushy fish.. ideas?

Sounds like you are doing a good job finding soft foods. You might want to try sugarfree pudding with added protein powder. Also, you might want to see how scrambled eggs work for you. They can be a little rough on some new tummies, but work fine for others. Hard boiled eggs chopped very fine, almost to a mush, worked for me. Don't be afraid to try seasonings, they can really help make things more palatable.

Hope these suggestions help.

Thank you so much. I'm a little more nervous with this one. Vsg was less scary. I don't wanna mess myself up

just curious. Why was VSG less scary? My surgeon's plan is no different for VSG than for RNY. Is your doctor's plan different??

The food plan is the same for both. I'm just terrified because the re routing and removed pyloric valve. I'm afraid I messed nature up and afraid I will pay the price.
