RNY revision results

I had my original RNY gastric bypass in 2007. I've lost over 100 pounds but never really got down to the size I should have still needing to loose 40 to 50 pounds. Even though I was much heathier and looked great I still had weight to loose and could just never loose it. I kept the weight off for the last 9 years until about the last year when I started to put back on about 18 pounds. My surgeon is Joseph Caruana in Buffalo and I've gone through everything needed to have my RNY revision surgery done. They are submitting to my insurance Monday and then I just wait for approval and surgery date. I'm just a bit nervous, and was wondering if anyone else did revision with synergy and if so what was the results?? He couldn't really give me stats because he's doing the surgery a new way since January. Any info would be gratefully appreciated!!

I had my original surgery in 2004 and lost 110 pounds. I had a recision almost a month ago, starting at 284, down 26 pounds. I am being very careful, so hopefully this one will stick.

I'm curious how your surgeon did your surgery. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions!! Did he make your pouch smaller or shorten your small intestines. My surgeon is shortening the intestines. He says the by doing the surgery by the upper part of the stomach he was getting too much malabsorption and malnutrition and had to reverse 7 of those surgeries.

Mine did both. Resized the pouch smaller, and shortened the intestine.
