hiatal hernia repair and surgeon is revising (correcting) my sleeve. Prior surgeon revised from lap band to VSG avoided scar tissue and left my sleeve too large. Nervous but so excited too ?

I hope everything goes well for you! I may be looking at revision due to reflux but trying different meds first.

Best of luck and speedy recovery. It all goes so fast once you get to the hospital. It's like a blurry dream for me now. Keep us posted, please.

I'm glad you are having it revised . I wish you well ! My surgeon would not revise my band to a sleev due to that reason and now I have a rny ( last may ) I had a lot of scar tissue that he said would leave me with a large sleeve I would not be happy with or a small sleeve that would leave me with a leak or severe reflux and I already had SEVERE reflux !!! Like shooting out my nose reflux yuck tmi !!!

Keep us posted !

Mom glad they are not just making you live with a sleeve that does not work for you and they are willing to make things right !

Surgery was Monday. All went well but didn't go home until yesterday. Nothing like being home for a quick recovery. Scale shows a little over 6 pounds since surgery. Let the last portion of this journey begin with sucess. Good luck to all goi g through anything

Congrats on a successful revision! If you have any other questions as you get further out, let me know. I'd be more than happy to share what it's like to live life with a slouch (sleeve/pouch=slouch!)

Just curious at what point could you drink a decent amount of water at a time? I'm a big water person and that seems like it will be the hardest adjustment. Sine my last surgery wasn't sucessful I don't think I ever experienced it 100%

I'd say about 10 days out I was able to drink almost normally. I had an easy recovery from my revision so I may not be typical. Are they having you do the little sips again? Where did you have your surgery?
