Original surgery 2/14/2001

Hi everyone, I wanted to first say Dr. Rutledge did an excellent surgery on me in 2001. Excellent weight loss 246 to 110. My main question is now I am interested in a revision. Is Dr Rutledge back in Durham, NC or still in Las Vegas. Thanks so much. Any questions regarding my surgery and the past 16 years please ask. Thanks so much.

Your weightloss was 246 or 110? or are you down to 110 now? I think im confused...im looking for a revision from band to sleeve....hoping it goes through.

Did u do well with it? I'm soooo hoping there aren't any issues w approval since my bmi is "only 35 right now. My insurance said there is no criteria for revision it's just how the surgeon words it. I won't switch surgeons because I just love mine. Where are u with it in this process?

I have an EGD1 week from today and then have to wait on approval. I never did well with the band. I have had issues eating dense protein from the very beginning. Never really found a protein drink that I liked until recently. Just always stuck feelin and vomiting. The band has got to go I just hope they can revise it so I do not continue to gain.

I originally was 246 and lost down to 110. Stayed small for close to 13 years. I had the mini-gastric bypass. My thyroid stopped functioning and then my foot got crushed and couldn't walk on it for over a year and a half. So in that time I've gained back to around 230. My husband is looking into getting the sleeve done. I think he should get the full gastric bypass as I have seen much better results that way.

My understanding is Dr. Rutledge is still in Henderson, NV; however, his website seems to redirect to his colleague, Dr. Cesare Peraglie in Florida. I'd call him for more info.
