Here's what I do (but don't do any of this until after you have healed!) I drink 20 oz of water before I get out of bed. Another 20oz slowly before lunch, and another 20 by dinner. I never ever drink anything with meals. Exercise. Find what works for you. If you have been walking all your life and you are fat- that's not the exercise that works for you. Pick a different one. What finally worked for me was a phone app called C25K. The scale. Some doctors and patients say throw it out. Not me. That's my "goal keeper." It keeps me at my goal. The first thing I do when I get out of bed every single day is get on the scale, then write down my weight on the calendar above it. If I am not at or below my goal weight, no sweets, treats, or junk of any kind are going into my body until I'm back at goal.

Everyone is different. I tried everything before finding what worked. I bet you did too and I finally figured out it's not one thing, it's a combination of several things. I hope you find what works for you.

So here's my suggestion: If what you are doing now isn't working, try something different. Most importantly, don't make excuses, especially, "I can't, because..."

I've been at goal for over 5 years. My plan works.

Good luck!!

Great idea about how you get all your water in. I don't drink during meals either but I sip all day and it's easy to forget on a busy day. I really like your water idea, and will try that.

The scale is my goal keeper too. I use the Libra weight app for years now and log it first thing in the morning, and love to study the trends and stats too lol. Good work, thank you for checking in.

Most definitely words of wisdom. I have an EGD one week from today and then will have to wait on approval or the revision. I have already increased water and protein intake. I had a hard time finding protein drinks I liked before but have found some I really enjoy now. It is amazing how increasing protein really cuts your appetite. It fairs mine at least. Thank you for the inspiration and ideas.
