Adhesions and revision

I have a question related to adhesions. who can comment on their experience with adhesions and revision? I have had VSG plus Lap Chole in the past, C-section in past, and ovarian cyst removal in past. I'm sure there is SOME issue, but how can I plan?

I'm a nurse so I don't buy into any of the gimmick techniques for 'removal' of adhesions other than the surgical ones.

I would just like to hear from others who may have encountered adhesions at the time of your revision and how your doctor proceeded (or didn't).

don't know how you could plan. I didn't have adhesions but my roomate in the clinic had adhesions from his stomach to his liver. it was quite severe and caused by his lap band. he was there for a revision to RNY. I know he ended up with the sleeve (his backup choice) because of the amount of scar tissue the doctor didn't feel like he could do an RNY.

My doc told me that if there was bad scarring the choice was sleeve (because they could cut around the scar tissue) or nothing. they would remove the band and send me home to heal and i could come back at a later date to do RNY. I was lucky. He was able to do an RNY.

I was in and out in 90 minutes. my roomate was 3+hours and 2 surgeons (my doctor had to go help) to remove his adhesions.

My surgeon removed as much as he could when he did my revision it was a little more painful during recovery than when I had my first bypass but I pushed through
