11 years out and seeing surgeon, am I too "lightweight" for revision?
Hi Gwen, no I absolutely do not drink with meals! That was seriously drilled into me way back when I was going through my classes :) I am averaging 70-100g of protein every day, which I was told I should consume daily. Yesterday I had 82g which is pretty typical. The cereal is a protein cereal, and I am eating the Fiber bar for, well, fiber LOL! My net carbs were 45g, which in the past my "sweet spot" to lose weight was 30-50g of carbs but it's not cutting it anymore :(
Yes, I get that. I'm saying you'd be full longer if you rearranged your protein instead of having one meal with the majority of it, and ditching the processed stuff with carbs.

Funny - I see a lot of calories from fat . Butter ? Coconut oil? Why ?
I find I can eat either carby but strictly fat free
or meat- centered with small amounts of fat if I crave it cut with lots of fresh veggies .
Tonalin an essential an linolenic acid ( oil) supplement sold at the Vitamin Store it cuts fat cravings dramatically and also helps people lose ..
i also drink tea as opposed to coffee - speeds the metabolism and keeps 5-15 lbs off for most people .
Congrats on the regular excercise ... you're building muscle which will speed your metabolism and slowly drop your body's set point over time . ((()))
People may get mad at me for saying this but if I was a BMI point away from qualifying for a revision I'd probably set a doc appointment eat at a Chinese buffet the nite before to gain 5 lbs water weight from soy sauce and explore my options. Our original surgeries were meant to only take 50% of our excess weight off grrrr
I looked at your MFP. Have you thought about cutting your carbs and going on a Keto diet? High protein, high good quality fats, really low carb (like atkins). It may help...plus it helps with hunger.
Also I'd probably recommend cutting your zumba and other aerobic exercises and start weight lifting. You'll burn more calories with anaerobic exercises, and feel less hungry. Aerobic exercises fuel hunger, anaerobic exercises actually inhibit hunger.....if you go into the gym...you'll see often the most fit people are the ones lifting weights that never work out on the tread mill or take aerobic classes. (There is some research that backs this up and even a whole book that was written about 10 years ago called the cardio free diet.
Great advice on the the exercise! I see people falling into the cardio trap all the time!

I didn't read all the posts but skimmed through most of them on the front page so excuse my post if I say something again that's been addressed. I did read that you still eat grains whi*****ludes some bread to help you stay regular. Might you see if something like a stool softener will work the same magic without the calories of the bread?
Next I'm a weird snowflake but I do better with weight loss by altering the amount of calories I eat on a daily basis. This has been the case for me diet after diet so it seems to be a truth for me. Somedays I have less than 1k calories just because I skip the coffee, eat a lot of lean meat and just have a "good day". Other days I allow for a normally not allowed food such as a scoop or ice cream, extra bacon, or some nights I need "second dinner" after a work out. On my high calorie days it's not weird to have 1500-1600 calories depending on what I got into. There is no serious science behind this however I've read some articles about mixing it up being a way to get people going if they get stuck.
Also if 1200 is a trouble for you then maybe your body needs less calories? I'm 5 9" 200lbs and if I consistently eat 1200 calories I either stay the same or may loose a little bit over a month. If you want to be less than that you may need to eat less than 1200. Experiment and see what works for you.
