Hi Travlher,
My apologies for the late response. I had open RNY in 2008 and revision RNY in 2015.
As far as meal plan, not following any particular meal plan outside making better choices and paying attention to when my little tummy tells me I'm full. I do know that it's said that revision weight loss is much slower than the original surgery. I just wanted to know if any others experienced this.
Are you measuring and tracking every bite? How many calories a day are you eating? What types of food are you eating? Give us a typical day and we can give you ideas on things to try.
There is no magic fix. It comes down to what and how much you eat.

Good morning Laura,
Thanks for responding to me. I'm not looking for any magic fix; I think we all know that's not possible. I posted this question to see if any others have experienced a slow/almost none weight loss.
To answer your question, yes I am tracking my meals and watching what I eat. Do I fail at this from time-to-time; yes but I'm human and not going to be hard on myself.
Again, thanks

What does your daily menu look like? How much water are you getting in? You say you are tracking, but are you measuring out what you eat? Like 3oz chicken or 4oz steak.

Hey Ladygodiva1228 (love the name),
I'm not measuring out portions but that's a great idea. I think I just need to tighten up my tracking and I'm going to incorporate measuring as well (although I don't eat much meat - but it won't hurt to measure)
Thanks.
I suggest you look at the RNY forum and the daily menu thread. It will give you an idea of what folks are eating.
Can I ask why you don't eat much meat? Dense protein like beef and chicken really keep folks full longer. I can eat 4-5oz of baked chicken thigh, but only 3-4oz of beef and I am full for 4hours or more.

Gonna check out that forum...can use all the ideas possible.
I was a strict vegetarian for years and when I started back eating meats, I'm really like really excited. I get my share of protein thou'
If you're open to it since you said you do eat some meats now check out this site that was started more for a joke, but really works well. 5 day meat test It explains why dense protein is good for WLS patients. It also has menu ideas.
