Ten years ago I had lap band surgery. Shortly after I developed Rosacea. I kept the band in for 10+ years and finally revised to RNY at the end of September. Within a week the Rosacea cleared! See pics below. Has anyone else had this happen?

This first pic is the day before revision surgery to RNY. The second is exactly a week after...... crazy

Yes, I was on daily doxycycline for rosacea but it cleared up after I had RNY and I haven't needed meds for it since.  Another benefit of surgery.  Don't know why it works, but it does.

Rosacea can be linked to SIBO.  RNY and early post op diet can help controlling SIBO.

But it can come back once you introduce more sugar that can read the bacteria in the gut.

Google SIBO..

Wow! That's amazing! So much of that has described me but not a single Dr picked up on it.

Yes! Me too in fact I've had the band off and on for nearly a decade and suffered from the same exact problem! And no one h no answers !  Additionally, I've developed an extreme  dairy/lactose intolerance. Which I'm guessing could also probably be SIBO ...
