Revision when on Medicare

Has anyone had problems with Medicare paying for a revision from VSG to RNY?  Also I have BCBS select 65, do they pay what Medicare doesn't on a revision?  I've been getting the run around.  Also did you have to wait 6 months and go through dieting before they would pay for the surgery?  I'd appreciate any info anyone has.

I had a revision from lap band to RNY a year ago.  I have traditional Medicare and a med supp.  Medicare paid for the revision and my med sup paid what Medicare didn't pay.  The most difficult thing for me was to find a surgeon who accepted Medicare and was good at revisions.  Fortunately, I was able to find a great surgeon.  There was no waiting period.  I had to have the NUT class and pysch evaluation but that was all.  My surgeons office walked me through every step of the process.  Best of luck to you.
