revision question

OK FOLKS...WENT TO SEE MY PCM.TUESDAY .HE SUBMITTED A REFERRAL, GOT  A CALL TODAY FROM THE REFERRAL  CLINIC.I HAVE A APPT WITH A BARIACTRIC DR IN TWO WEEKS. HE'S GOING TO CHECK MY SLEEVE I ASSUME.I HAD THE SLEEVE DONE IN 2014..ONLY 55LBS LOST..I STILL HAVE THE SEVERE CASE OF GERD. TAKING MEDSS THEY DON'T HELP MUCH MY SURGERY WAS DONE AT A MILITARY HOSPITAL OVERSEAS. I HAVE UNITED HEALTHCARE..MY PCM.TUESDAY TOLD ME THAT THE MILITART DONT DO REVISION.THEY SAY IT'S NOT SAFE.CONCERNED ABOUT SCAT TISSUE.I HAVE TO SEE THEM FIRST BEFORE I GET REFERRED TO A SPECIALIST IN DENVER..JUST READY FOR SOME ANSWERS. FEELING FRUSTRATED

i know several people who got revisions while in the military so not sure what that person knows. At any rate I hope all goes well for you!

Is it necessary for the doctor to code it as a revision? If you are having complications they could just code it relative to what needs to be repaired. It doesn't have to be related to Bariatric revision. Does that make sense?

Yes it makes a lot of since too me.I see the Dr. This wednesday.i pray it all goes well. I have united healthcare..thxs for responding.
