Approval

I had lab band surgery back in 2006. I lost over 100 lbs. which was below my pre set goal. I had to have the band removed in 2014 due to a slip. I have gained over 60 lbs. since band removal. Insurance will not approve a new surgery (sleeve). I am considering contacting Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. Wondering if anyone has delt with them and if thery were able to help. I would appreciate any information.

Never delt with Lindstrom but did your insurance company say why they denied you? I would write an appeal letter and fight for what you want. Best wishes to you

does your insurance cover any Wls or just not the sleeve?

My United health care covers all WLS

What is their criteria? The standard 40+ BMI or 35 with co-morbidities? Or do they have a one-surgery limit? Did they say why they denied it?

My insurance covers nothing to do with WL at all, not meds, not surgery nothing. Check with the Lindstrom folks in case they can help.  If not maybe you need to go to Mexico and have your revision, Far cheaper than here.
