My story is

10 years post op RNY gastric bypass

staring weight 260lbs

lowest weight 133

Past 3years have gained weight up to 178 is my current

Last year had an EGD and the outcome was that my stomma was stretch as well as the stomach was as well.

My proposal to the surgeon was .... YES My Proposal !!! LOL

Was to have the Apollo Overstitch surgery and he agreed !

So that was July of 2014 and Insurance denied several times due to my BMI being to low and because the Apollo surgery

was not considered authentic surgery yet . But in the past few months I have gained more weight ugh BMI UP enough for insurance to

approve the Apollo that in the mean time had been approved by FDA !! WOO HOOO

I had my pre surgery meeting today Got my pre op diet

5 Days before surgery clear liquids Only :)

after surgery 2 weeks clear liquids

week post op 4 and 5 cream soup , yogurt and so on

I feel so blessed to have this second chance !

I promise to keep everyone updated !!

any question Pleas do ask ! I will answer all that I can

Feeling Happy and Blessed

HUGS TO ALL !

So glad you wrote. I wish there were an Apollo forum. Had mine 9/30, not hungry at all. The shakes are not agreeing with me and my doc wants us on them for 7 weeks. My PC is not happy about it.

what is your diet on week 3? Are you staying overnight. It is really hard to stay hydrated and yesterday I had to have two liters of IV fluids. Feel so much better today. Where is your surgery?

oh, he only fixed my stoma as my stomach was at six and they usually make it 5. I am free of the hunger!!!,

Hi

I agree i wish there was an Apollo forum as well!!

My Apollo will take place on Oct 27 !! I will start 5days of clear liquids on Oct 22 continued after

the surgery for 2more weeks

Weeks 3 & 4 I will start full liquids (cream soup, protein drink, apple sauce) Baby food will be my choice

Weeks 5 to 8 mushy foods cottage cheese , mash potatoes and so on

I am not staying over night
