Revision after hernia repair

I had a stomach stapling in 1982 with very good results (-100 lbs). I gained all my weight back over 15 years. I then ended up with an incisional hernia that needed repair. I'm seeking a revision but I'm concerned about scar tissue from both surgeries. Anyone have problems with scar tissue?

I'm one week out from a revision where I had a lot of scar tissue. My surgeon also handled my gallbladder removal so he had an opportunity to check out the scar tissue situation in my abdomen prior to my revision.  He told me the surgery would take longer because of it, and in fact it ended up taking longer than he expected. I'm in more pain than I expected at the one-week point, but he was able to do it successfully and to complete it laparoscopically.

I'm glad to hear he was able to do it laparoscopically.  My original surgery has left a 10" incision in the middle of my belly and don't want go through that again.
