I had a VSG July 2013 and did not loose the weight - 48 pounds lost in one year with working out like crazy.  Wasn't even loosing weight in the initial stages when eating was impossible. Now having a DS in July this year.  Just wondering if anyone out there has had an unsuccessful VSG revision to a DS (not just weight gain but never having lost it with the VSG) and if so, what were your results with the DS.

I am excited for the DS surgery but concerned I will have the same outcome.  Eeck.  Trying to be positive...but would love to hear from others...

Thank you,

Kimberly

The success will depend on how much you put into it.  Exercise is great but it won't cause weight loss.  Like they say, you can't outrun a bad diet.

WLS will give you an edge but you are still responsible for what goes into your mouth.  Combine WLS with nutritional counseling to learn what to eat and emotional counseling to learn why you eat (the way you have been) and you will have the best chance at success.

WLS 10/28/2002 Revision 7/23/2010

High Weight  (2002) 240 Revision Weight (2010) 220 Current Weight 115.

Cross post this over on the DS board.  There have been several who've gone from the sleeve to a full DS after not losing.
