Revision from band to sleeve
March 7, 2015 was 7 years with my lap band. On March 25, 2015 I'll met with Dr Strickland to discuss having my band remove and getting a sleeve. I started at 279 got to 209 and currently I weigh 239. I'm now on 5 BP pills and sleep with a c pap machine. I spoke with my insurance company UHC to see if revision was possible and what are the requirements. Because this a revision there would be no requirements to be met on the insurance side, however Dr may require some. I've been seeing a cardiologist, and have had sleep study done in October /November. So hopefully there's not much else to do for Dr requirements. UHC said if Dr agrees with revision all he has to do is submit paperwork. They will review and make decision. My BMI is not 40 but because of Co morbidities I should qualify.
