Changing surgeons after insurance approval

Hi everyone, haven't been on here much in past few years. I am looking for information......has anyone changed surgeons after getting insurance approval for your surgery? If so, did you have to resubmit everything to insurance company? I am looking to have a conversion from RNY to DS, not sure which surgeon I want to go with. Thanks for all information.
