lupus - roux en y - revision

Hi everyone! Has anyone been diagnosed with lupus or any other auto-immune disease after having a roux en y? A few years after my roux en y I was diagnosed with systemic lupus. I've gained most of my weight back due to high doses of steroids over the past several years. I am considering asking for a revision to have my roux en y reserved to see if this resolved my auto-immune problems. Any advice any of you could offer regarding your experience, I would greatly appreciate it!

My experience was different.  I was diagnosed with SLE about 10 years ago.  5 years ago my band was placed.  1.5 years ago, I went into remission and was able to stop taking the Plaquenil.  Rheum. says it's unusual but it happens.  My issues were limited to joint involvement though.  In less than 2 weeks, I'll be having the band out and getting a RNY due to so many issues caused by the band.

Has you Rheum advised a reversal?  I wish you luck in this journey.  Auto-immune diseases really stink!
