conversation from proximal to distal

Hello.  I'm new here, sorta.  I was around right after my RNY in 2003. Anyway, it was successful, I lost 175 pounds.  But over the past 5 years I have gained back about 70.  My surgeon recommends a conversion from proximal to distal.  Anyone have experience with this?

Hi Susan I had my RNY in 2003 also in Chicago. I was around then too. I lost about 120# and have now gained back more than half. I will be moving to the las vegas area in about 6 weeks and am looking for a surgeon who can do a revision. so I will keep an eye on your thread also and hopefully we can both find something out. thanks Beth

I had RNY done in 2003 as well. was 310 went down to 205 and back currently to 245. I am looking into a revision now and hoping that I can get a second chance. I feel like I failed completely with the first surgery and didn't even know revision was possible until recently. I am still not sure what is the best method.

Just wondering if you ever heard anything regarding a revision?? Thanx
