With one the Best Dr.Thomas Lavin?

I am interested in Revision after elven years out have regain 70 pound but keep off 71

I am very worried what to expect.

I didn't have my surgery with Dr Lavin and I have BCBS.  I was wondering what kind of revision you do you need? I'm having a distal revision to my rny and see my surgeon next week again. I hope to have a surgery date soon.  This process was started 5 months ago.

A friend of mine is seeing a Dr in the same clinic .  I think it is Dr Redmann. His bedside manner is so great and he is the kind of Dr that if you have any surgery  in the future , you will see him. My friend speaks very highly of him. Dr Lavin did my lap band surgery in 2011. Very good Dr but never saw him again after the surgery ,  only nurses. We are in MS and military  so Keesler did my vsg. Good luck !  You will do great!

Did you have a revision done through Tricare? My husband is retired military and I was wondering what I am up against with Tricare.

Yes, my band slipped and so was necessary .  Pretty easy, just had to go through all the steps  again . 

Thanks... I am wondering what I am up against with them.. I have already had the RNY so not sure if they will cover a repair. Knowing that they will even consider it is encouraging.

Had r n y in 11/01/03 per dr s sudderth,lap. Had problems from beginning dilutions, bleeding ulcer 04which required 4 days icu with 4units of blood.  Since that time I have had multiple egd dilutions. Seems to b ave 9-10 months...wight 240 now 117. Wasting away. Also had feeding tube placed in04 .first told I have to have reversal open. I have in uhc. Now he has referred me to dr Alvin in la.  He will. Take 28,00 for his fee and only charge me 150.00 initial consult.. I cannot afford this. But I'm afraid I won't b here this time next year.   Rc
