Revision to distal bypass due anastomosis issues....post two failed revisions....last...
Due to mechanical failure of my stoma I had two revisions. One was a band over bypass which was removed and converted to a revision of the stoma. Subsequently an unrelated gastroenterologist balloon dilated my nice tight stoma during a diagnostic endoscopy, this destroyed the tool that I had had created. And I have gained approximately 60 pounds since. ((((Talk about anger)))). I have been told that further surgery around my stoma could be life-threatening. Therefore I am a candidate only for a revision to a distal bypass. I was just wondering if any of you have any experience with the distal bypass and could share the same. Also, did any of you have surgery at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees New Jersey with Dr. David GreenBaum? I doubt my insurance will cover the procedure and I'm wondering what the cost may be.
