Today was my BIG DAY. !!!:)

I'm happy!!!!:) Yesterdsy was the big day. I'm still very droggy. I did go with the RNY. Doc said that was best. He found the reason for my acid reflux .... The top muscle above my stomach was not working . That's what they told my husband. When I talk to Dr. Valenzuela tomorrow I will get better info on that. Just little bit after surgery I was up walking , munching on ice chips. Everything has been very good. If you never saw my post before I'm Deborah Martin  I had sleeve to bypass . In 2007 I had sleev.started out 256 lbs got down to 170 last couple years stated gaining . As of today I'm 210. I had severe acid reflux because of the muscle . But I feel so good!!!! I know I still have healing process up go through will be posting pics later on.

Congrats and so glad to hear you're doing well. My revision from band to RNY also was successful and I haven't had any issues with acid reflux. You'll love life with RNY. Take care!

Congrats mawdebo!!!  I had the LB in 2008 it was horrible, only lost a few pounds, then in 2009 I had the VSG, I lost 30 lbs but gained about 20 lbs, never got to my goal.  But most of all I have this hiatal hernia that causes severe acid reflux.  I tried to get a revision to RNY done last year, but BCBS Federal denied my revision, because I was not in compliance, with the other 2 surgeries, even though they covered only the LB, I did self pay on the VSG.  Now, with my hiatal hernia which has become worse and bigger, we will ask again if they will approve it not weight loss but for medical necessity.  What insurance do you have?

Congrats! I'm glad you are feeling good and in good spirits! I'll be having a revision from band to bypass soon and pray that this works for me this time. My metabolism is so slow my doc said sleeve wouldnt work for me...said I needed the extra help from not absorbing all calories with the bypass. Hope everything works out for your!
