Lapband to RNY tomorrow May 21st!!! 1 surgery, so excited!

Tomorrow May 21 I am getting my Band removed and revision to Rny.  I had lapband in 2008 and lost 120 in 9 months, kept the weight off for 5 years and then started having major reflux issues and problems with throwing up constantly.  So tomorrow it comes out and revision to bypass.  I have gained back 50 pounds and i can hardly wait to be back to my normal weight.  I am looking for a buddy :)

Your band issues are exactly like mine. I love RNY and don't miss that. Rap band a bit. Wishing you all the best. bYW I haven't had any reflux episodes since my revision.

Surgery was a breeze! I feel awesome!  Went home less than 24 hours after surgery.  I'm walking a lot to keep the gas pain at bay!  Excited to be finally be all done :)

Yeah!  Glad to hear all went well for you.  The one thing about use revisions, no one had to tell use to sip, sip,sip and walk, walk walk.

Your situation sounds exactly like mine. I'm looking forward to us being successful again! I was banded 10/2009 and revised on 4/25. Reflux with the band was unbearable. 

well i am still doing awesome! 18 pounds gone! only issue is diarrhea.. i am still on liquids and not having any sugar or carbs but hey im not gonna complain maybe thats where all the weight is going lol!  hope you all had a fab weekend!

Hope your surgery, recovery and progress has gone well since surgery! I have my revision on August 25 and hoping to finally lose all of my weight. My band slipped up and caused issues with swallowing ...I'll be so happy to have it out!
